Snowman Challenge


Geometric Snowman

Create a snowman on paper that uses as many polygons as possible. You can draw it or cut and paste the pieces together. Be creative! You many find different-sized circular objects at home to trace for the circles. You should create a base, mid-section and head for your snowman. Try to include polygons for the eyes, nose, mouth, hat and scarf.

minutes long. Ms. Earl landed in Montreal at 7:30 P.M.

Climbing Stairs Math Challenge

John works in a multi-level office building. He doesn't like taking the elevator.
One day he wondered how many stairs he climbs to get to his office.
To enter his building, John has to climb a set of 12 stairs.
Then he climbs six sets of 11 stairs and two sets of 10 stairs.
At the end of the day, he climbs the same number of stairs to leave the building.
